Accelerating the green recovery in London’s boroughs

As part of London Climate Action Week in July 2020, London Councils hosted an online panel to discuss how London boroughs are working with partners to accelerate a green recovery in the capital.

Local councils are committed to delivering renewal and growth in all of London’s communities through development of green jobs and training, support for low carbon businesses and delivering climate co-benefits, such as reducing fuel poverty and pollution.

The event brought together speakers from the private, public and community sectors to discuss practical proposals to promote a green recovery through partnership working.

Panellists:

  • Cllr Claire Holland, Chair of London Councils’ Transport and Environment Committee
  • Jordan Cummins, Senior Associate Director & Head of London Policy, Confederation of British Industry
  • Afsheen Rashid, Co-Founder Director and CEO, Repowering
  • Kas Mohammed, VP Digital Energy, Schneider Electric
