Taxicard is a subsidised service providing black Taxi’s and private hire vehicles for those who might find it difficult to access other modes of public transport. The scheme is not a guaranteed service and as such designed for trips such as shopping, visiting friends, leisure activities etc. It is not suitable for time critical appointments such as medical appointments, as it is dependent on the number of drivers available at any given time to take bookings. Although every effort will be made to provide a vehicle upon request.
