Item 7 - London Housing Proposition (E10/5)

Summary 

Over recent months, London Councils officers have been working with London local government colleagues to develop a proposition for housing devolution in London that would be capable of significantly increasing housing supply across all tenures. This paper updates the Executive on the progress of those discussions, and the broad outline of an emerging proposition.

Recommendations

 Executive Committee is asked to:
• Note the update on the emerging London housing proposition;
• Discuss the emerging policy proposals listed in paragraphs 5-8;
• Offer guidance on the next steps for shaping housing delivery in London listed in paragraph 9
• Give a view on how best to inform and take forward this discussion with Leaders Committee in June and July as described in paragraph 4.
