Item 4 - Devolution and Public Sector Reform - Health, Skills and Employment Update (E19/16)

Summary:    

This report notes progress on components of the London Proposition for devolution since the Spending Review; alerts the Executive to consequential challenges that will require action during 2016; and seeks broad early guidance on how best to address these issues over coming months.

Recommendation:    

The Executive is asked to:
•    Note the report;
•    Offer guidance on future action with respect to health devolution and London health pilots as described in paras. 14;
•    Notes the extent of sub-regional collaboration, described in paras 20-25, that will be needed to deliver effective employment and skills devolution;
•    Note that further decisions on an agreed sub-regional geography for devolved employment and skills provision in London are likely to be needed shortly.
