London Innovation and Improvement Alliance (LIIA) is the sector-led improvement arm of the Association of London Directors of Children’s Services (ALDCS). LIIA exists to help all of London’s local authorities to collaborate to improve the outcomes and experience for children in the capital. LIIA is hosted by London Councils, putting it at the heart of London local government.

LIIA is looking for a highly motivated person with initiative and the ability to work flexibly in what is a dynamic, quickly changing policy and practice environment.

You will have experience of contributing to policy and practice development in children’s services and have a good understanding of children’s services’ role in a complex landscape.

You will be able to build effective relationships across sectors, communicate, negotiate with and influence a diverse range of people; have experience of creative problem solving and managing a varied workload in a pressurised environment.

In a rapidly changing environment, you will be helping London boroughs respond to some of the most profound long term challenges facing children and children’s services. This will include leading on peer-to-peer support and challenge across London local authorities and coordinating a range of projects which are addressing the key priorities for ALDCS. You will also lead on ensuring best practice and innovation is captures and shared across the capital and will have responsibility for effectively communicating the work of LIIA.
