London Councils hosts and supports several pan-London bodies that add value to the work of our member authorities and their residents.
LOTI is a coalition of London Boroughs, London Councils and the GLA which helps boroughs work together to bring the best of digital and data innovation to improve public services and outcomes for Londoners. It is hosted at London Councils.
LIIA is the Association of Children Directors’ improvement partnership and is hosted at London Councils.
An APPG for London was formally established in May 2015. This acts as a forum for MPs and Peers to work together on a cross-party basis to strengthen the capital’s voice in parliament. London Councils provides the secretariat to the group on behalf of London government.

London Councils is the Regional Employer body for London local authorities. Boroughs are members of the Greater London Employer Forum and are represented on the Greater London Provincial Council for the purposes of negotiations with trades unions.

The London Leadership Programme (LLP) is a flagship development programme investing in the next generation of senior leaders in London.
The London Housing Directors’ Group (LHDG) is a professional network of senior housing officers from across London’s 33 local authorities. They deliver on the boroughs’ statutory and strategic housing objectives across the range of issues, including homelessness, housing delivery and housing management.
London Councils has also developed a series of shared governance arrangements with the Mayor, Transport for London, Metropolitan Police, health and other partners, including London business organisations. London Councils nominates – on a cross party basis – members to serve in such shared governance arrangements, including:
