NOTICE OF CHANGES TO PENALTY CHARGES AND ADDITIONAL FEES
London Councils' Transport and Environment Committee has a statutory role in setting penalty levels and additional fees for parking and traffic contraventions on behalf of the 32 London boroughs and the City of London, and publishing the levels set. It always undertakes consultation before doing so.
Following a determination by the London Councils Transport and Environment Committee, approval by the Mayor of London, and having received no objection within the period of one month of notifying the Secretary of State for Transport, the following increase in penalty charges and additional fees will take effect in the 32 London boroughs and the City of London from 7 April 2025.
Parking penalties at the higher level will increase by £30 to:
£160 (Band A) reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
£140 (Band B) reduced to £70 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
Parking penalties at the lower level will increase by £30 to:
£110 (Band A) reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
£90 (Band B) reduced to £45 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
Bus Lane and Moving Traffic contraventions will also increase by £30 as of the above date to:

(Please note, the Operator's penalty for contravention of the London Lorry Control Scheme will remain unchanged, at £550 and the Driver's penalty for contravention of the London Lorry Control Scheme will remain unchanged, at £130).
Additional parking fees in relation to clamping and removing vehicles found in contravention will increase to:
Release fee from wheel clamp = £100
Release fee from car pound = £280
Daily storage fee = £55 per day
Disposal fee = £100
