Find out more about the renewal process for expired or older person's Freedom Passes.

We have now sent out all renewal passes to those we believe are still eligible for the Older Person's Freedom Pass who held a 31 March 2025 expiry pass.

We automatically renewed passes for Older Persons pass holders, who from our residency checks, were still living at the same address as shown on our records.

We wrote to those pass holders who were flagged as possibly having changed address with instructions on how to complete the renewal process. These email and letters were sent out in January 2025.

For those pass holders who have received an email or a letter but have not yet completed the renewal, you must RENEW ONLINE NOW and use the unique reference number provided in your email or letter.

If you do not complete this renewal process you will be without a pass once your current pass has expired.

Please Note: The renewal application portal will close on 30 April 2025.

If you currently hold a 2025 expiry date Older Person's card and have not received a renewed pass, or a renewal letter, please contact the Freedom Pass Helpline Team:

Email: info@freedompass.org

Phone: 0300 330 1433

Due to higher than normal call volumes between 9am and 11am, wait times are longer than usual. We ask where possible for you to call between 11am and 5pm to allow us to answer your call promptly and to reduce your wait time.

Please note : Your current pass will be accepted by TfL and bus operators as a flash pass until 1st May (inclusive).
