Training Providers

For information on training providers operating in your borough, visit the Register of Approved Training Providers. A provider must be on this list in order to utilise apprenticeship levy funds.

Apprenticeship Training Associations (ATA) and Group Training Associations (GTA)

Twelve organisations won a share of £7m of Government funding to set up new Apprenticeship Training Associations (ATAs) and Group Training Associations (GTAs). These models are designed to help a range of organisations, especially small businesses, to offer apprenticeships.

ATAs act as the employer, placing apprentices with host employers to carry out their training. GTAs are groups of employers who act together to provide apprenticeship training.

These pilots have now come to an end, and most providers now offer employers support with their apprenticeships in conjunction with the apprenticeship levy.
