Skills and employment through procurement

Each year London’s boroughs spend around £9 billion on goods and services. This buying power represents a significant opportunity for London local authorities to exert influence over their suppliers to generate skills and jobs opportunities for London’s residents.

London Councils has works to develop awareness and understanding between suppliers and boroughs as to how procurement activities can be used to generate skills and jobs opportunities.
