The funding for the London Cultural Improvement Programme came to an end in 2011. This website will remain live to ensure that the learning and resources from the programme are still available. For an overview of the programme visit the LCIP Index.
Ecorys UK were commissioned by the London Cultural Improvement Programme in February 2011 to explore transformations in the public spending environment since the election of the Coalition Government and the implications for cultural services in London, to consider how efficient new models for delivering cultural services might be adopted, and to identify potential opportunities to fund provision in the future.
The report was launched on Monday 4 July 2011 at St Bride Foundation during a free event for borough officers and members. There were several high profile speakers: Martyn Allison on commissioning, Vanessa Rawlings-Jackson Chief Executive of Cultivate in Nottingham and Robin Thomas (all the way from Canada) on philanthropy. There was a special discussion session for members.
The final report, agendas for the event, speaker biographies, attendee list and presentations from the day are available to download from the related documents.
