As part of the TfL Social Needs Transport Review, it was recognised that there is a need for greater integration, and improved financial and governance arrangements between all door-to-door services available to older and disabled Londoners . In an attempt to support the recommendations set out with the Social Needs Transport Review, TfL and London Councils are collaborating to procure a framework consisting of two distinctive service Lots to deliver the services detailed above. Lot one will provide advance bookings and as soon as possible bookings to fulfill trips undertaken by Capital Call, Dial a Ride (DaR), Taxicard schemes and also other boroughs social needs taxi/PHV contracts. Lot two will provide London Councils with the capability to provide street hailed journeys by Taxis to fulfill the street hailed Taxicard services.
