London Councils with Continuum, University of East London and the London Borough of Newham have been collaborating for the past four years to examine the higher education journey of young London residents.

The report highlights changes in higher education participation and attainment, and progression to the London labour market at London and local authority level. This report, together with its predecessors, provides a story-board of the different higher education journeys of young Londoners. The research aims to not only provide a commentary on such journeys, but also to evidence the value of higher education to young people in London in terms of their early graduate employment six months after completing their higher education studies.

We would like to acknowledge the work of Professor John Storan and Gary Tindell from the University of East London and Sheila Weeden from the London Borough of Newham and for their continued contributions to this enduring research partnership.
