TRACE - towed vehicle tracing service

We provide a helpline service for anyone whose vehicle may have been towed away. We can help if a vehicle is removed for illegal parking by any council, the police or DVLA. The helpline is open 24 hours a day. Trace will advise which pound the vehicle has been moved to and provide information on the procedure for release.

The TRACE service will operate as normal during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Call statistics for the TRACE service

The spreadsheet below shows details of the call volumes to the TRACE helpdesk for the last 12 months. The targets are that 95% must be answered within 14 seconds and that no more than 1% can be abandoned. So far these targets have been met consistently.
