notify2 UPDATE
Drum Roll Please!!!!!!!
London Councils are proud to announce that notify2 will is scheduled to go ‘Live’ on Monday 7 November 2011.
We would like to send our sincere apologies to all if you felt that all was quiet on the notify2 front, however, as you can appreciate with the demise of Trans Media Gateway (TMG) and the re tendering of the new contract to Oxford Web Applications (OWA) a division of Big Oxford Computer Company, it has been a challenging process of months of negotiations, system developments, and testing.
For those boroughs who have been active participants in the testing procedures we have undertaken to ensure that the notify2 system is robust and working, we want to say a big THANK YOU!!! With out you this would not have been possible and certainly not as successful as we anticipate it to be.
During the week commencing the 7th November right through to 11th November, we will ask a small number of boroughs to upload their notify2 data files to see how the system copes in the ‘live’ environment. During that time officers will be in contact with the users to discuss the progress of their testing and any possible errors generated, and of course, where things are running smoothly.
At present the report we have run indicates that some codes boroughs are submitting do not match the codes provided on their most up-to-date translation worksheet. As such we will systematically work through these errors and where necessary contact notify2 uploaders and if nominated the borough Lead Officer of those boroughs concerned, in order to rectify this so the system is able to run more efficiently and provide the necessary reportage data you need.
London Councils also intends to host a launch event shortly after the week of testing to invite all boroughs to come along, we will have representatives from OWA present to do a presentation of notify2 and facilitate a question time.
This launch event will focus on the:
The date for this will soon be announced and invites will be sent to officers. It should be noted that spaces will be limited to this event so it can only be one officer per borough, please watch this space for further updates.
