London Councils ESF Co-financing programme works on the ESF priority concerned with improving the employability and skills of unemployed and economically inactive people.

London Councils specifically aims to fund projects which promote the employability of excluded individuals in the community. The projects funded equip individuals with the personal and occupational skills they needs to access and compete effectively in the labour market.

London Councils currently has 2 project rounds funded through it’s ESF programme. The 2009/11Borough ESF round and the 2010/12 London Councils ESF round.

On the Borough ESF round, £8,366,004 million of funding has been awarded over 2 years to 22 projects. These projects target specific demographics and wards within the 13 London Boroughs that are participating, reflecting the needs and priorities of those boroughs in addressing economic exclusion.

On the London Councils ESF round £7,297,445 million of funding has been awarded over 2 years to 30 organisations. More details on this programme are provided on pages continued overleaf/.
