I was looking for some advice regarding my employment and no one could give me any proper answers to help me resolve my problems.
I was just passing by the Wandsworth area and saw information bureau. I went in and the staff there gave me a list of Citizen's Advice Bureau addresses. I decided to go to Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau at First Avenue House.
I felt comfortable there, the staff were open and there was a friendly atmosphere. When I sat down and talked to the person it was the first time that I really felt I was going to get some help with my problems. I was anxious and worried about many areas and the staff helped me to sort out what was happening to me. English is not my first language and writing was very difficult for me but the staff found out what my situation was, gave me an appointment and so I could come back and make sure the forms I needed to complete were filled in correctly. For the first time I was given concrete advice on a way that would help my situation move forward.
When I came back for my appointment the advisor was very friendly and professional and helped me complete forms.
Now I know that things are moving in the right direction I am not so worried. I also know that I can go back there and if I have any other problems in the future I will go to the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau.
