Issue 54: September/October 2008

The September/October issue of London Bulletin magazine focuses on London's role in the 2012 Games and how boroughs are planning to involve their communities in the four-year run up to the main event.

The theme of community engagement is taken up by Hazel Blears, who writes about her aspirations for the latest governmenrt White Paper, as well as a feature on how London's social enterprises are reinvesting in London's communities and providing services for the capital.

This issue also includes a feature on protecting the capital from flooding, one year on from last summer's devastating floods, and how London councils should look to Europe for wider funding opportunities and support for key inititiaves.
