A case in point...
Crucial funding from Capital Ambition is helping the Young London Matters partnership support projects to improve the lives of young people across the capital. Ian Mitchell reports.
The well-being of children and young people across the capital is an increasingly important performance focus for London boroughs. Not least because young Londoners' emotional and mental health has impacts on a number of key performance indicators, including for example crime and the fear of crime, as well as adult social services and of course children's services themselves.
All of which means that work to improve the prospects for young people across the capital is one of the most important focuses for boroughs; and that policy drivers such as the government's Every Child Matters agenda is right at the heart of the improvement agenda in London.
