Capital clean up

Capital Clean Up 2008 will be launched today with a clean up of the River Thames foreshore on both sides of Tower Bridge, as part of London’s bid to become the cleanest city in the world in the run-up to the 2012 Olympic Games. Building on the success of the first event of its kind last year, a 100 day clean up of the capital will take place every year between now and 2012. The 2008 clean up will run until 18 June.
