Private bills

London Councils will be depositing three private bills in Parliament on 27 November:

The London Local Authorities bill will seek to give boroughs powers in the areas of environment, housing, public protection and street trading.

The London Local Authorities (Shopping Bags) bill will seek a prohibition on the provision of throw away shopping bags by retailers.

The London Local Authorities and Transport for London (No.2) bill is a joint London Councils and Transport for London bill that seeks to give boroughs powers in the areas of environment and transport.

Further details on all the bills will be available on London Councils website after 27 November.
