Throw away bags

Over 90 per cent of Londoners who responded to London Councils’ public consultation have called for a ban, or levy, on throw away shopping bags. Leaders' Committee this week will consider whether to lobby for a ban on plastic throw away shopping bags in the capital as part of the 10th London Local Authorities Bill.

Council performance and improvement rates

The performance and improvement rates of London local authorities are revealed on the Government Office for London's (GOL's) data analysis website. The site links to a wide variety of official borough statistics and other information sources including the London Councils' online directory and borough profiles.
