The aim of London Councils' design guide is to establish a coherent visual identity that distinguishes all our printed and online publications as individual members of the same family.
The purpose is not to make all our publications 'look the same'; we aim for consistency, not homogeneity.
Designs should always complement (and not distract from) our key messages.
Design considerations (aesthetics) will always be subservient to considerations of accessibility.
Designs must reflect our core values, the diversity of London and the pan-political nature of our organisation.
London is a vibrant, modern, culturally diverse and energetic city. The design of our publications and particularly the choice and use of images should reflect London.
Each publication should easily and readily be identified as a London Councils publication (and not simply by the logo).
Our design principles will be consistently applied across all our communications output including online, printed and promotional materials.
