We offer a dedicated site for heavy goods vehicles operators, helping to control movement on London’s road network. This website provides useful information for lorry drivers, hauliers and logistics managers. Application forms can be downloaded for permits that allow HGVs on restricted roads when special travel requirements are needed.
Visit our London lorry control pages for more information.
A vehicle can be removed without permission for illegal parking by any local authority, the DVLA and by the Metropolitan Police Authority. We provide a free helpline service for anyone who suspects their vehicle may have been towed away or removed without owner’s consent. The service is accessible 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day. We advise on the listed location of the vehicle and which authority has possession. We also provide information on procedures that need to be carried out prior to a vehicle release.

People involved in the delivery of primary healthcare attending medical emergencies in patients' homes can apply for a HEB. If a vehicle is clearly displaying a HEB badge and is in compliance with the conditions of use, it should not receive a parking ticket, or be clamped or towed away. All applications must be made by the practice or department manager. There is no mandatory provision and a HEB is offered entirely at the discretion of London parking authorities. All London Boroughs agree to the principal of the scheme.
