Parking and traffic

Parking, highways and traffic policy is a key area for London Councils.

We work closely with Transport for London and our member boroughs to ensure consistency and fairness across London. We periodically consult on, and set, the level of penalty for parking and minor moving traffic contraventions. We run innovative pilot schemes and projects to deliver parking and highway enforcement in the fairest and simplest possible way. We also convene borough officer forums in the areas of parking management, highways and traffic signals. These forums are used to formulate policy and share best practice.
