The 'Outer London Cycling Report', is jointly authored by London Councils, TfL, Sustrans and the London Cycling Campaign.
Half of all journeys in Outer London are less than 2 miles, which can be covered in around 10 minutes on a bike.
With one third of Outer London households not owing a car, and 58% of Outer London residents saying that they are considering cycling more in the coming year, the potential for a substantial increase in cycling in Outer London is huge.
The report looks at the barriers to cycling in Outer London boroughs and proposes a range of practical solutions for boroughs to implement.
A copy of the full report 'Delivering the benefits of cycling in Outer London' can be downloaded from the TfL website Opens in a new window.
