Parking compliance research

London Councils commissioned Colin Buchanan to undertake a piece of research into parking compliance in London. We asked them if it was possible to establish a simple proxy for measuring compliance with parking regulations that would negate the need for expensive on-street surveys. We also asked them to investigate the possibility of establishing a benchmark for what would constitute 'acceptable' compliance.
