House of Commons - Second Reading

The Local Government Finance Bill had its second reading debate in the House of Commons on Tuesday 10 January 2012.

At this stage, the principles of the Bill and its overall aims were debated. Following this, the Bill went on to the committee stage where its content is being discussed in more detail.

London Councils provided a briefing to MPs on the Bill for the second reading, and has produced a recap of the discussions that took place.
