
The London Joint Improvement Partnership (JIP) started in 2009 as part of the Department of Health’s regional adult social care programme, led and managed by Ian Winter Opens in a new window, the Deputy Regional Director for London.
The Department of Health’s regional programme closed at the end of March 2011 and since April, the JIP has been undergoing transition to be the delivery vehicle for adult social care supporting the 33 Directors of Adult Social Care across London. Ian Winter continues to offer strategic support during the transition.
The JIP is funded by drawing resources from across the strategic partners, with all 33 London boroughs contributing.
