Response to Healthy Lives, Healthy People

The Department of Health issued “Healthy Lives, Healthy People: Our Strategy for Public Health in England”, on 30 November 2010.  This sets out the government’s vision for providing a public health service that empowers communities, enables professional leadership and supports innovation.

In December 2010, the Department of Health issued two related consultation papers “Healthy Lives, Healthy People: Consultation on the Funding and Commissioning Routes for Public Health” and “Healthy Lives, Healthy People, Transparency in Outcomes”.

London Councils’ response to all three consultation papers is provided here.  Our response has three parts:
