Development workshop 4 - Linking employability and skills

The final development workshop focused on the integrated approach to employability and skills which are needed to reduce worklessness. 

The session looked at work in Newham on integrating employment and skills, and the London Skills and Employment Board (LSEB) presented their latest skills strategy, highlighting the local partnership working that took place to launch the Skills and Employment observatory.

The workshop was used to explore how boroughs can strengthen their relationship with the LSEB. The LDA also discussed the development of work in this area across London and how London boroughs can link into their commissioning rounds.
