Training Providers

Apprenticeship Training Associations (ATA) and Group Training Associations (GTA)

Twelve organisations won a share of £7m of Government funding to set up new Apprenticeship Training Associations (ATAs) and Group Training Associations (GTAs). The new models are helping a range of organisations, especially small businesses, to offer over 14,000 apprenticeship places for young people over the next three years, with a focus on opportunities for 16 to 18-year-olds.

National Skills Academy Creative and Cultural National 1125 The National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural Skills (NSA) is a national network of employers and founder colleges. They will form an ATA that acts as single employer of apprentices for the creative and cultural sector. The agency, Creative and Cultural Apprenticeships, will link to each of the founder colleges.
E-skills National Up to 1250 E-skills UK, in partnership with Microsoft and IDEA Ltd, aim to deliver a step change in the number of ICT apprentices across England. Microsoft will drive the employer engagement through their partner network. This bid follows a pilot project with Microsoft Partners.
KEITS London and South East Over 950 The South East Apprenticeship Company will form an ATA in partnership with key training providers in Kent, Sussex and Surrey, offering apprenticeships in business administration and law, retail, health and public services and care, IT and telecoms, engineering and manufacturing, active leisure, education and land-based.
Lewisham College London Up to 750 The new ATA will be jointly operated by Lewisham College and CONEL (College of North East London) and private training providers, focusing on retail, business, construction, green industries, creative industries and the public sector.
South London Business London 650 The ATA will create apprenticeship opportunities for 16-18-year-olds in the logistics sector in London, giving 1500 young people the opportunity to be trained in this sector.
London Apprenticeship Company London 750 The London Apprenticeship Company is the first ATA of its kind in England, a community investment company with five shareholders: City of Westminster College, Westminster Kingsway Colleges, Skillset Australia (the leading Australian provider), Paddington Development Trust (social enterprise) and Vital Regeneration (a London regeneration agency).
