Culture, sport, tourism & 2012

culture

About our work

We work with boroughs to improve cultural services (including sport, arts, libraries, museums, heritage, parks and open spaces), to maximise the opportunities offered through tourism and to spread the benefits of the 2012 Games across the city.

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are just weeks away, and London Councils is working hard to ensure the capital enjoys an exciting, safe and secure Games.

We are also working to ensure that the benefits of hosting the world’s greatest spectacular will be felt throughout the capital, long after the Games are over.

We work with the boroughs and other partners to develop and promote London’s amazing local cultural offer, including maximising the tourism potential of our unique and distinct local areas.
