London’s local authorities play a vital role in making London the most exciting cultural city in the world.
They support internationally renowned arts centres, local library services, vibrant festivals, carnivals and events, affordable and accessible sport facilities, a network of parks and open spaces that make our capital one of the greenest in the world, fascinating museums, historic buildings and more.
As well as playing their part in enabling London to be an internationally renowned cultural capital, boroughs are also delivering highly valued local cultural and sport services - services that authorities can demonstrate have a positive impact on people’s lives and improve satisfaction with their area.
With an introduction from Cllr. Chris Roberts, Executive Member for Culture, Tourism and 2012, the Playing Their Part factsheets provide evidence on how culture and sport help improve Londoners’ quality of life and give examples of best practice across the boroughs.
Below you can download each factsheet individually, or all as a set.
