
Since London won its bid to host the 2012 Games London boroughs have been concerned that their residents and local businesses should be able to benefit from the economic benefit that the city will receive.
Boroughs have been working in partnership with other agencies across the city to use the Games to help to tackle worklessness, to increase skills and training opportunities and to assist their residents in improving their job prospects.
And as the Games get closer, boroughs are looking at ways that they can promote their local areas to visitors to increase local tourism and the economic benefit it brings.
