London Councils commissioned London Metropolitan University to carry out research on gangs in London.  The research identified several examples of projects/programmes that work with young people being carried out across London Boroughs.  As there isn’t a single point of reference to identify projects across boroughs in London this list offers just a few examples of projects targeted at the youth in London. The projects listed capture a range of work from early intervention to reduce the recruitment of young people into gangs, to reducing serious youth violence and criminal behavior and reducing reoffending.

This list of projects can be seen as a compliment to the projects set out in the MPA’s handbook. Read more or download the handbook
