Local authorities commission and run a wide variety of initiatives aimed at preventing youth crime across London.
London Councils carried out an audit of these projects in December 2007 to highlight the scope of activities currently being led by local authorities, which range from early interventions with young victims to restorative justice projects for young offenders. These findings point to a number of different approaches reflecting local needs and complexities.
