London Councils is keen to develop relationships with key partners in order to better support local authorities and in the development of safer communities in London. London Councils aims:
- To lead on the relationship with the Metropolitan Police Service, The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPC) and the Mayor of London's nominated Policing Deputy.
- To manage appropriate links with the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority and Criminal Justice agencies.
London Councils is part of several projects and programmes and networks which are currently being delivered with other organisations. These include:
- Addressing crime through the London Crime Reduction board (LCRB).
- Addressing anti-social behaviour through the London Anti-Social Behaviour Managers group.
- Addressing violence and serious youth violence through the London Anti-violence Partnership.
- Preparing London in the event of terrorist attacks or other emergencies through the London Resilience Forum (LRF)
- Addressing anti-social behaviour through the London Anti social behaviour Board and Managers group
- Addressing local community safety issues through the Community Safety Advisers meetings.
- Addressing violence against women and girls in London through the Violence against Women Panel.
