Our policy work encompasses major infrastructure projects in rail, waste and water. We influence national and regional strategy, and work to ensure London benefits from national infrastructure funding as much of London's infrastructure brings wider benefits to the UK as a whole.
We lobby central and regional government for greater devolution of powers and funding so that London boroughs can secure the local infrastructure their communities need. We work closely with our colleagues in planning and economic development on our infrastructure work.
We have three borough representatives on the London Infrastructure Delivery Board, the body charged with bringing together the major partners responsible for implementing the Mayor's Infrastructure Plan 2050.
The representatives are Cllr Claire Kober, Leader of Haringey Council and London Councils' Infrastructure and Regeneration lead; Cllr Philippa Roe, Leader of Westminster City Council and London Councils' Devolution and Public Sector Reform lead; and Mayor Jules Pipe, Leader of Hackney Council and Chair of London Councils.
