Sector Led Improvement

  • By London Councils

We are committed to improving the standards and performance of services to children and young people in the capital.

The Sector Led Improvement programme is a partnership between the Association of London Directors of Children’s Services, Chief Executives' London Committee and London Councils. Initially supported by funding from the Department for Education through the Children Improvement Board, the programme in London is increasingly self-resourced as well as self-led.

Its focus for London includes:

  • performance and quality assurance
  • adoption
  • Multi Agency Safeguarding Hubs
  • peer challenge
  • youth offending
  • knowledge sharing

Information about activity in our priority areas can be found to the right of this page, as well as learning and outcomes from activity in previous years.

London’s Sector Led Improvement programme complements the national offer available through the Children Improvement Board at the LGA.
