London Councils with Continuum, University of East London and the London Borough of Newham have been collaborating for the past five years to examine the higher education journey of young London residents. The launch of this fifth annual research report will highlight changes in participation, attainment and progression to the London labour market at London and local authority level.
This report, and its predecessors, provide a developing picture of the different higher education journeys of young Londoners. The research aims to not only provide a commentary on such journeys, but also to evidence the value of higher education to young people in London in terms of their early graduate employment six months after completing their higher education studies.
This year, the report focuses on the impact of higher education on social mobility.
Local authority colleagues will receive a copy of their individual borough report at the launch event.
The programme for the morning can be found under related documents. If you wish to attend, please use the regististration button to the left of the screen.
