These are challenging but exciting times for public services. We are looking for a highly motivated person with enthusiasm and ideas to work flexibly in a dynamic, quickly changing policy environment.
Working in the Economy, Culture & Tourism Team and contributing to policy development, you will work across a range of areas including skills devolution and reform in London, apprenticeships and using cultural policy to support economic growth and communities.
The role will require that you develop and recommend policy priorities, carry out or manage research to support these, analyse policy and statistical information and present proposals clearly and concisely - all to support London boroughs to make the capital a better city and to make London’s case to central government and a range of critical stakeholders.
You will also have the ability to build effective relationships across sectors, communicate, negotiate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, as well as experience of creative problem solving and managing a varied workload of projects.
London Councils represents the 32 boroughs and the City of London. We aim to get the best deal for Londoners and to ensure that London’s councils have the resources, freedoms and powers to do the best possible job for their residents and local businesses.
