Leadership and Training Opportunities for the Cultural Sector

There are a number of Leadership Programmes and training opportunities open to both officers and Members.

PowerLab: Cultural Leadership for creative entrepreneurs

The Cultural Leadership Programme has launched a new search for high-flying creative entrepreneurs who are looking for the chance to stretch their proven abilities as cultural leaders. Through PowerLab - a nine-month intensive bespoke leadership programme - between 15-25 ambitious, talented individuals will have the chance to influence the cultural landscape and to propose ambitious projects for realisation outside their established practice base.

PowerLab is part of the Powerbrokers Advance strand of the Cultural Leadership Programme and has been specially designed to encourage talented entrepreneurs to exploit new media and to translate creative ideas into new forms through giving participants access to influential and inspirational leaders who are running globally respected public, commercial and independent operations in advertising, film, television, theatre and contemporary visual art.

The Lab is targeted at mid-career and established leaders, professional self-starters who work independently across the creative industries and for individuals who already have a role as commissioners, managers or producers in medium scale creative environments working with design, film and digital media, music, theatre, writing or visual art.
