The leaflet available below outlines the changes introduced by BERR on The Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007, notably the creation of a new consumer advocacy body called Consumer Focus bringing together energywatch and postwatch and the National Consumer Council. The Act also established new independent redress schemes for energy and post customers and extends Consumer Direct to become the single point of contact for consumer information and advice, including for post and energy complainants. The changes come into force on 1 October 2008.
