Consumer Direct

Consumer Direct offers telephone and web-based advice service for people with consumer problems. The service has provided clear practical advice to over two million people. London Councils, in conjunction with London’s trading standards officers provides this service across the capital.

Consumer Direct London aims to provide universal and consistent advice to consumers and free up trading standards officers to focus on more complex and criminal cases that need further investigation. This service complements the help already available to consumers through the trading standards offered by London boroughs.

Consumer Direct London together with London Councils held a successful Consumer Advice Conference Friday 10 October 2008 - 10am to 1.30pm at London Councils.
