Urgent agenda

Vulnerable adults living in areas with the highest needs will continue to lose out on vital services until the government acknowledges that the current approach is failing them.

London Councils is asking the DH to provide an immediate commitment to improve the funding formula by reflecting a more comprehensive range of need. We believe that all vulnerable adults should get the care they need whether they live in Southwark or Sunderland. The current approach fails to deliver this, and, without urgent work, could be allowed to distort funding until at least 2012.
