Survey of Londoners
Crime continues to be the number one issue of concern among Londoners, according to findings from the annual Survey of Londoners (see graphic below).
The survey, conducted in September by pollsters TNS on behalf of the London boroughs, reveals that council tax remains the second biggest issue of concern. One in four people polled says that litter or dirty streets are major concerns - an 8 per cent increase from last year.
However, seven in 10 people say that their local council staff are friendly, and nearly the same amount (67 per cent) are of the opinion that their council does a good job.
The survey was based on 1,002 Londoners aged 18 and over. They were asked to choose their three biggest concerns abut living in london from a list of 13.
