London Statistics
Growing pains
Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and Camden will see the biggest population increases in the next couple of decades, according to data published by the Office for National Statistics. Kensington and Chelsea could see a 63 per cent increase in its population from 207,400 in 2006 to 337,600 people by 2029. In contrast, with an increase of only 6,300 Lewisham looks set to have the smallest population change. The data is based on trends over the last five years and makes assumptions for future levels of births, deaths and migration to show what the population will be if recent trends in these continue.

City of London has not been included as the projections produced are not robust enough for such a small area.
