Our work in partnership - London Authorities

We work with a range of other London wide Improvement partnerships (including Council lead groups). Details on current projects, products and outcomes are below.

Human Resources Improvement Programme

This is a wide-ranging modular programme that was developed by London Councils and the Heads of HR, set within the context of the Pay and Workforce Strategy and London's overall Performance and Improvement agenda. Human Resources Improvement Programme

It is the first programme of its type aimed at the HR professionals in London authorities. Each group has produced a product which you can access online as well as background information on the how the product can be used. Please see the microsite www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/hrip

The Online Directory of Consultants and Trainers

This online directory is a powerful resource for London local government. It offers consultants and trainers an easy, value-for-money, accurate, controlled way of providing information about who they are and what they offer directly to those who need it.

Employees and members with a London local authority email address (name@authority.gov.uk) can search the directory for free.

You simply go to www.algdirectory.org.uk Opens in a new window and register.

London Local Government Jobs Portal

For the first time, London local authorities have joined together to advertise jobs in the same place at the same time. The Your London website Opens in a new window allows you to access hundreds of Local Government jobs.

Through a unique partnership with the Greater London Authority and London boroughs, we have developed this site to give you an insight into working in London local government.

The site will be developed further in 2007 to improve the user experience and to provide more resources to support and attract people wishing to progress their career in London local government.
