The London Councils funding process

How our funding works

London Councils is commissioning the voluntary sector to provide services to meet key areas of need in the capital.

The Council Leaders from London’s local authorities have agreed the 59 priority areas that London Councils should fund.

Funding phases

Our funding will be released in phases between February 2007 and June 2008. In each funding phase organisations can apply for funding to provide services in the 59 priority areas.

The service specification

For each service, London Councils will produce a service specification to define what we want to achieve through our funding.

The service specification explains:

  • what service outcomes London Councils wish to achieve through out funding
  • the needs we are trying to meet
  • the amount of money available to benefit the residents of London boroughs.

For more information on what funding opportunities will be available in 2008 please see the grants funding timetable.
